Your practice
No experience or flexibility is required! Yoga is for everybody. As Bikram says it: 'In this class, we’re all beginners – it’s never too late, it’s never too bad, you’re never too old and never too sick to start from scratch once again!'
In order to be wholly effective, Bikram Yoga must be practiced daily or on a regular basis without long lapses in time inbetween. A minimum commitment of 10 lessons in 30 days is asked if you are to derive maximum benefits from Yoga.
Abandon the competitive mind-set. Bikram Yoga makes the body stronger, more flexible, and healthier. The goal is to calm the mind, open the heart and accelerate our evolution through self observation.
Keep your eyes on your own practice. We practice from the inside out. You know you are truly focused if you accomplish stillness in your practice while breathing normally.
Be kind, loving and accepting to yourself. Do what you can, with what you have, with where you are. Wherever, whenever in our life we begin yoga, is perfect.
